What Goes Into a Custom Trailer Build?

If you've ever tried to find a trailer that fits your boat perfectly, you'll know it's not always easy. Boats come in all shapes and sizes, and off-the-shelf trailers are built to fit a range which means they often don't fit anything perfectly.

That's where a custom build comes in.

When we build a custom trailer, the first thing we do is get the specs of your boat. Length, beam, weight, hull shape, all of it matters. From there, we design the trailer around the boat, not the other way around. The right width, the right length, the right weight rating, bunks positioned where they actually need to be.

From there it goes to fabrication. The steel gets cut and welded to spec, and once that's done it gets galvanised. Galvanising is what gives it the long-term protection against rust and the salt water environment. It's not just a coat of paint, it's a full zinc coating that gets right into the steel.

Then the bunks, the lights, the brakes (if required), the wheels, all fitted and ready to go.

The end result is a trailer that's been built specifically for your boat. It sits right on the water, it loads and unloads cleanly, and it's not going anywhere for a long time.

If you've been putting up with a trailer that doesn't quite fit, or you've got a boat that needs something specific, come have a chat. We'll sort you out.
